Loose teeth, luminous vampires and amphibian femmes fatale, with a special promotion on things that go bump in the night… Anything goes and everything must go at The Fall of the House of Fraser, the Halloween spoken-word event to end them all!

Writers’ Bloc, Edinburgh’s premier spoken-word performance group, offer a seasonal slice of new stories and poems, as well as the debut of two new limited-edition chapbooks by their members: The Terminal Zone, the first printing of the play by Andrew J. Wilson, and Hannu Rajaniemi’s Words of Birth and Death, a collection of three stories inspired by Finnish mythology.

Writers’ Bloc is a mix of professional writers and new voices. Several members have published novels in Britain and the USA. Others have placed their work in magazines and anthologies as diverse as Nova Scotia: New Scottish Speculative Fiction, Year’s Best Horror Stories, Scottish Book Collector, Interzone, Pinball Player, Haiku Scotland, Markings and The Hope That Kills Us: An Anthology of Scottish Football Fiction.

Writers manifesting at The Fall of the House of Fraser will include: Caroline Dunford, Morag Edward, Andrew C. Ferguson, Gavin Inglis, Jane McKie, Stefan Pearson, Hannu Rajaniemi and Andrew J. Wilson.
