I experienced some bizarre problems while trying to create the previous post: the xmlrpc.php requests failed, and for a while I was worried that my webspace was running out, or something similar — or that some essential Wordpress files had been erased, or something like that. It took a visit to the Wordpress support forums to sort out the problem: the original version of the story included a word which I can’t actually include in this post since the server running my website has overzealous rules which block any POST requests containing the said word.
